Autumn is quickly approaching and it is the perfect time to do a deep cleaning before hunkering down for the winter months. It’s been six months since most of us did Spring Cleaning. Deep cleaning your home every six months makes cleaning more manageable. Your fall cleaning is similar to spring cleaning, but with a few additional outside tasks to prepare the home for winter.

Benefits of Fall Cleaning:
- Spring Cleaning was 6 months ago. Even though we all went on summer vacation, dust and grime didn’t. Grime kept accumulating in our homes all summer long! As we turn on our heaters, and hunker down for the winter, we don’t want to be stuck inside with a bunch of dust, dirt, grime and mess!
- Time to discard, donate or sell. It’s been 6 months since we cleaned our closets and organized our things. It’s a great time to purge and get rid of any items you haven’t used since spring. If you didn’t use the item the last 6 months, it’s probably time to get rid of it!
- The holidays are coming! Get a jump start on your holiday preparations by giving your home a deep cleaning prior to the holiday season.
Fall cleaning tasks fall into two categories: outside tasks and inside tasks. During the fall, it is important to winterize your home, perform an outdoor home inspection and clean the outside of your home.
